Back to Normal?!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It’s off to Work We Go!
Tony started back to work this week with his first full day in the office on Monday.  Last Friday, he came in for a half day and we took the girls around our offices in their adorable Halloween costumes (pictures coming soon, I swear!).  Things seem to be returning to normal at the Locati household, except that we have both committed to going to the gym regularly and even signed up for a personal trainer through the end of the year to help us with our motivation.  I think this will be a huge help for Tony in getting his energy and fitness levels back up to or even better than his pre-CA shape.  Who knows, maybe Tony will be featured in Defibulators Monthly or CA Survivors?!  Okay, those magazines don’t exist- but they should. 🙂
I still notice that both of us seem to tire out easily at odd moments and that naps are in short supply, though this past weekend I think we each got one in!
We still have a lot of thank you’s to do and a lot of tupperware to return, but we are working on both and are also still planning on the "thank you" dinner for the firefighters and EMTs that worked so valiantly on Tony and saved his life.
Step, Step, Plop!
In other news, the girls are starting the transition to the Toddler room at daycare and are THIS CLOSE to walking independently.  I’m so excited, but seeing how fast they’ve become when scooting along the wall, furniture, or with their push scooters- I have to say, I’m a little scared too!  All the Moms of recent walkers tell us not to rush it, that we’ll miss when they were less mobile.  I guess we are just suckers- because I am so excited to see them take their first truly hands-free steps!
Half Marathon here we come!
I also want to say thank you and pass out some kudos to my two running partners who have helped me stay motivated and on track for the Seattle Half Marathon the weekend after Thanksgiving.  All 3 of us are on track for the race and I can’t wait to do it.  It will be a great accomplishment for all of us and I for one, could not have done it without their help and encouragement.  Not to mention Tony’s constant support and encouragement.  Maybe next year, he’ll be doing it too?  Stranger things have happened!
