Big Week for Little Girls!

Step Right Up!
Last Saturday Sofia took her first truly independent steps.  After a few days she was toddling back and forth across the living room with growing confidence.  It has been so much fun to watch.  Audrey is close behind her but a little more tentative- she’ll take a couple of steps, but beyond that she is happier crawling for the moment.

Moving On
With the advent of walking, the girls are about to make another change- next week they begin in the toddler room at daycare!  This is great because it means they will be in a more stimulating environment and around a lot of active, happy kids.  It’s also nice for us because it means it will be about $60 a week less- which we’ll just be putting it towards their college funds, but every penny counts!

Fancy Footwork
Sofia is not the only one working on her footwork.  I am on track for the half marathon in a couple of weeks and can’t wait to get out and run it with my friends!  It will be wonderful to cross that finish line and accomplish a goal I have had since the girls were born and I made a promise to myself that I’d get back on the road as a real runner.

Feel the Burn!
This week, Tony and I started working out with a trainer at the gym.  We thought it’s be great for Tony to get a little jumpstart on getting back in shape, so between now and the end of the year, you’ll find Tony and I sweating it out at the gym 3 days a week.  It’s really fun- except for the wall sits, and the push ups, and the crunches…. ugh!
